Each year Lodge Eaglesham 1265 selects a local charity as the beneficiary of an annual charity drive. This usually is centred around the Lodge`s annual sponsored "Walk" when members and friends turn out in support.

The lodge aims for a £1500 target - and in recent years has never failed to reach that figure.

Proceeds from the 2006 efforts went to the Hairmyres Hospital Oncology Day Unit.

In addition to its charity work, Lodge Eaglesham also organises an annual dinner and social evening for around 80 senior citizens - and arranges a super Christmas party each December for village children.

Members of Lodge Eaglesham 1265 are very aware that the practise of charity is one of the keystones on which Freemasonry is based.
